The AI study companion: What students gain and fear of losing in the age of generative AI ?

Artificial intelligence has become a common part of student learning. Using survey responses from 557 students provided by Mendeley, this article explores how often students use AI, the benefits they experience, the relationship between AI use and academic performance, and concerns about overreliance on AI technologies.
