Why Interactivity?

The original project used static visualizations to examine temperature forecast accuracy across U.S. cities. By adding interactive components, readers can explore the data in greater detail. The plotly visualizations allow users to hover over individual cities and view additional information that is not visible in a static graph. The interactive map makes it possible to zoom in on specific regions and identify geographic patterns in forecast errors. Together, these additions make it easier to investigate city-level and spatial variation in forecast accuracy.
