Executive Summary

📊 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

COE has dropped to around -3% for summer enrollment, joining main campus on being down in enrollment. Summer headcount remains positive — COE students are registering for courses, but may not be registering for as many credits as last year, or non-COE students aren't registering. Fall enrollment is down ~16–17% in both credit hours and headcount, on par with main campus (-17%). The undergraduate admissions funnel is slowly growing and nearly flat with last year for newly enrolled students. Graduate admissions are similarly close to 2025 enrollment numbers, with fall grad admissions needing continued attention.

📌 Note: Air Force ROTC student credit hours are included. Accurate headcount tracking for ROTC is in progress.

Key Takeaway

KEY TAKEAWAY

COE has joined main campus in being down for Summer SCH. No colleges are currently up in credit hours for either Summer or Fall. Fall headcount decline is partly explained by LRF drops and Principal Licensure cohorts shifting to extended studies.

POSITIVES
SUMMER
Enrollment for summer undergraduates is slowly building and steady. While down -27% in applicants, enrollment is currently up from last summer! Yield is also up at 35% vs. 25% last year.
FALL
Up in applications, admits, and matriculations! Human Services & Behavioral Health has doubled in applications. Almost all undergraduate degree-seeking programs have seen a dramatic boost in applications.
BOTTLENECKS
SUMMER
Down in applications, admits, and matriculations. Focus needs to shift to yield since the applicant pool is smaller this semester.
FALL
While applications are up, enrollments have slowed — currently down by 1 student. Despite a 20% increase in applications, admit rate is about the same as last year. Yield is also down. Still early, but admits need monitoring.

POSITIVES
SUMMER
Up in enrollment by 2 students. MA in Special Education continues to lead — likely driven by the AMP partnership!
FALL
Fall started way down but has clawed back. Down only 3 in matriculations and 2 in enrollments. Yield is even compared to last year.
BOTTLENECKS
SUMMER
Still low on applications — the pipeline is not as strong this year for summer. Yield is also slightly lower than last year.
FALL
Grad admissions funnel is behind Fall 2025 — this is the biggest area needing focus. Program fluxes explain some of the decline, so panic mode is not yet warranted, but close monitoring is needed.
