As UT Austin’s founding finance organization, UFA is a cornerstone of the McCombs community since 1951. Decades later, our mission remains unchanged: to provide a welcoming, high-impact environment where any student can explore their curiosity about finance.
The Analyst Program serves as the foundation for your journey in UFA. Designed for underclassmen and new members, the program offers an additional weekly meeting beyond the general member meeting — giving you more opportunities to get involved and meet new people.
Sessions are lecture-based, led by our Directors of Investment and Consulting, and focus on building technical knowledge in accounting, valuation, modeling, market analysis, problem-solving, and strategy.
Gain exposure to high-finance and consulting through weekly lectures and assignments that build knowledge from the ground up.

The UFA Investment Associate Program is dedicated to providing tangible skills, building networks, and preparing members for recruiting — all within an ambitious and collaborative community.
Through hands-on learning and mentorship, we provide experiences in portfolio management, financial modeling, and equity research. By fostering collaboration and growth, we help our members build lasting friendships.
Get paired with UFA upperclassmen who mentor you throughout the year — guiding and teaching you what they wished they knew when they were in your shoes.

Dive deep into technicals, track economic trends, and discuss major news weekly. These sessions sharpen your ability to think critically about financial developments.
Stock Pitch
Build and present stock pitches by industry. Research the company in-depth, develop theses points, model cash flosws, analyze risk, and compile research into our published journal.

Consulting Team
The UFA Consulting Associate Program equips members with the frameworks, communication skills, and business acumen needed to excel in competitive consulting roles — all within a driven and collaborative environment.
Through case-based learning and mentorship, we provide hands-on experience in strategic analysis, client communication, and structured problem-solving. By building both technical and interpersonal skills, we prepare members for top consulting placements.
All UT Austin students are welcome. No prior finance experience required.
