This report looks at wildlife related news coverage across six major Indian newspapers. Articles were matched using over 100 wildlife and conservation keywords translated into Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Telugu, and English. The dataset covers 505,643 articles published between 2010 and 2026.

Data sourced from six Indian newspapers: Esakal, Amar Ujala, Anandabazar, Assam Tribune, Sambad, and Namaste Telangana. Articles were identified using 119 wildlife and conservation keywords translated into each newspaper’s language.
