What variables impact the likelihood of receiving an Autism
diagnosis?
This dashboard shows the progression of ASD
diagnosis since the categorical diagnosis of autism under Pervasive
Developmental Disorders (PDD) in the DSM-IV,
released in 1994, to understanding autism as a continuous spectrum in
the DSM-5,
released in 2013, to today.
Key variables that can affect an individual’s likelihood of receiving an ASD diagnosis, such as a country’s economic status or an individual’s age and sex, are explored.
