The data used below are real time between hospital admission and post-surgical discharge data from cardiac patients, recorded by the Heart Institute of Hospital das Clínicas at University of São Paulo’s Medical School (InCor). The dataset contains 145 observations and 7 variables.

Kaplan–Meier curves are generated for the variables in this dataset. The Kaplan–Meier estimator uses the empirical survival function and takes censored data into account to estimate the survival function. By examining the Kaplan–Meier curves, it is possible to compare survival between two groups. In addition, the result of the Log-Rank test is also shown.
