Our Origin Story

Meet Goiaba

In 2022, on a cobblestone street in Ouro Preto, Brazil, our founder met a ginger street cat sitting proudly outside a coffee roastery. The locals called her Goiaba โ€” Portuguese for guava โ€” because of her warm, peachy fur.

Goiaba had a habit of sneaking into the roastery and napping on warm burlap sacks of freshly dried beans. The roaster swore the beans she chose always produced the best cups. We believed him.

Today, Goiaba lives in a cozy home (finally), and her legacy lives on in every bag we roast. Bold, warm, curious, and impossibly smooth โ€” just like her.
