Google Analytics 4 Certification Reflection
1 GA4 Certification Exam
1.1 Proof of Completion
Below is proof of my attempt/passing result for the Google Analytics 4 Certification exam.
1.2 Exam Reflection
1.2.1 Results Summary
I completed the Google Analytics 4 Certification exam through Google Skillshop.
Result: Passed
The exam tested my understanding of GA4 reports, events, conversions, and data analysis tools. Overall, the certification helped reinforce the knowledge learned throughout the course modules and practical assignments.
1.2.2 Top 3 Most Challenging Topics
- Event tracking and conversions
- GA4 explorations and custom reports
- Understanding attribution models and user journeys
These topics required a deeper understanding of how data is collected and analyzed in GA4.
1.2.3 Two Questions I Wish I Could Redo
A question related to how GA4 events are configured and marked as conversions. I realized after answering that I needed to review how events are tracked and prioritized within reports.
A question about using explorations to analyze user behavior across multiple steps. I would redo this question because GA4 explorations allow deeper analysis than standard reports, and understanding how to build them is very important for real-world analytics work.
1.2.4 CEP Connection
One change I will make to my Culminating Experience Project (CEP) measurement plan is to focus more on event-based tracking rather than just page views.
For example, I will track specific user actions such as form submissions, button clicks, and downloads as events and mark the most important ones as conversions. This will provide clearer insights into how users interact with the website and help measure whether the project is achieving its goals.
2 GA4 Readiness Check
For my readiness check, I used the Google Analytics demo account to identify a KPI and supporting report.
2.0.1 KPI
Conversion Rate
This KPI measures the percentage of users who complete a key action such as a purchase or sign-up.
2.0.2 Supporting Report
Traffic Acquisition Report
The traffic acquisition report helps identify which marketing channels bring users to the website and which ones lead to the highest conversion rates. This information supports the project goal by helping identify which sources drive meaningful engagement and results.
