1. What question were you trying to answer? (1–2 sentences)
I wanted to find out in which stage user engagement would fall off during a typical E-commerce journey.
2. What did you find? (2–4 bullets with at least one number/percentage)
Out of 44,956 sessions, only 13,728 users actually viewed a product (which comes to to around 71.7% of users left before viewing any item)
There was only a 76.7% drop between “View Item” and “Add to Cart”, showing users who viewed products are likely interested in what they are viewing.
Only 3,225 users added items to their cart, which is a measly 7.2% of total users who access an E-commerce website.
49% of users who added an item in their cart would complete a purchase.
3. What’s your next investigation step based on the results? (1–2 sentences)
