Generally, across all cluster groups, population density does not correlate with the dropout rate as population size increases. However, there are some districts that we should raise concerns about. If we compare districts with similar target population sizes, for example, the Pek district in Xiengkhouang province has a high dropout rate of ~31%, yet its target population is considered high at around 2,291 children. On the other hand, Kaysone Phomvihane district in Savannakhet province has a similar target population size of around 2,450 children but has a much lower dropout rate of around ~-3.1. This suggests that there may be other factors contributing to the high dropout rate in Pek district that need to be investigated further.
