Hi, welcome. I am Poo Kuan Hoong. I am currently attached to Multimedia Malaysia (MMU). My current research area spans peer-to-peer (P2P) networks and Distributed Systems. I am interested in algorithm design and performance modeling of various distributed systems based on a variety of theories, including optimization, graph theory, and network coding. I am also interested in extensive measurement and statistical study of large-scale Internet systems, to explore problems and derive insights towards their improvement.

Autonomous Car Park Space Detection System project

  • Searching of vacant car park bays can be time consuming for many drivers
  • Implementation of digital signages coupled with sensors is usually expensive and complicated
  • Integrated car park management system for open car park such as recreational parks or stadiums would be unjustifiable
