RA Quick Reference — In-Lab Session Protocol
Greet participant. Direct them to the lab computer in their assigned EEG chamber.
Participant logs into their personal RPP account, locates the study session ID, and clicks the Qualtrics link.
Participant can ask the RA questions about the study at this stage.
If they consent: Qualtrics instructs them to call the RA so their head can be measured for an EEG cap fit.
If they don't consent: They inform the RA. No head measurement. They complete the alternative task only.
While the EEG cap is being selected and is soaking, participants complete demographic questionnaires via Qualtrics.
Afterward, they are instructed to call the RA so the EEG cap can be fitted.
This Qualtrics page displays two key values. RA's must record both:
Participants move to the main area and have the EEG cap placed on them.
The dome should be adjusted according to the manual specifications.
RAs quickly pinpoint cardinal points.
Three sub-steps, done in order:
RA provides task explanation to participant.
Two tasks run in sequence:
Remove the EEG cap. Participant washes their hair.
Participant returns to Qualtrics to complete dependent variable measures.
Debrief is provided via Qualtrics.
Participant provides a digital reconsent signature by scanning a QR code shown on screen or on paper provided by the RA.
Participant downloads the debrief form for their own records.
