Introducing Myself

Synopsis

My name is Janet Cepeda, and I am a Business Analytics major at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am interested in analytics and how data can be used to better understand business problems and support decision-making.

Academic Background

• Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Analytics, University of Texas at San Antonio (Expected June 2027)

• Associate of Business Administration, Northwest Vista Community College (May 2024)

Professional Background

I recently worked as a Team Leader at Whataburger in San Antonio. In this role, I help lead daily operations, train team members, and support process improvements. This experience has strengthened my communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills while giving me exposure to operational decision-making.

Experience with R and Data Mining

I have basic experience using R and RStudio through my analytics courses, including working with datasets, cleaning data, and exploring patterns. I am continuing to build my skills through coursework and practice.

Experience with Other Analytic Software

• R / RStudio: Introductory experience with data cleaning, basic analysis, and data exploration

• Tableau: Experience creating visualizations and dashboards for class projects

• SAS: Introductory familiarity through coursework

• Microsoft Excel: Regular use for organizing data, formulas, and basic analysis
