Hi! My name is Rohan and I am currently a graduate student pursuing my Master’s degree in Information Systems. I have a strong interest in technology and analytics, and I enjoy learning how data can be used to support better decision-making. This course is my first formal introduction to R, and I am excited to build a foundation in data analysis and reporting using RStudio and R Markdown.
I am currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program at the University of Cincinnati. My academic focus includes data analytics, business intelligence, databases, and information systems. Through my coursework, I am developing both technical and analytical skills that are useful for working with data in real-world business and technology environments.
I have a strong background in software development, where I have worked on building and maintaining applications using modern programming tools and frameworks. In my previous roles, I gained hands-on experience with designing features, debugging issues, and working with structured data in real-world systems.
Through my software development experience, I developed strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to breaking down complex problems. This background has also helped me understand how data flows through applications and systems. As I transition more into analytics, I am interested in combining my development experience with data analysis tools like R to better understand data, build insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
I am new to R. So far, I have learned how to:
mean() and
sd()Before learning R, I have worked with:
Learning R adds another powerful tool to my analytics skill set and helps me approach data analysis in a more reproducible way.
