During Weeks 9-10 of 2026, transmission remained concentrated in a small number of high-burden LGAs. Ungogo reported the highest number of cases (109 cases over the two-week period) and the highest attack rate (16.1 per 100,000), followed by Nasarawa, Dala, Gwale, Fagge, and Kumbotso, which also reported substantial case numbers, confirming continued transmission in densely populated urban LGAs. Two deaths were reported during Weeks 9-10, occurring in Ungogo and Nasarawa, resulting in an overall CFR of 0.4% for the two-week period. Despite these deaths, the overall CFR remains low, suggesting continued improvements in clinical management and access to treatment.
