This interactive map was produced to display the spatial distribution of conflict events throughout Ecuador from 2018-2024. This data is from the Armed Conflict Location Event Database (ACLED) and was downloaded on December 29, 2025.
There are a total of 9,599 events with a total of 5,778 fatalities from January 1, 2018 through December 29, 2024. Users can access event details by clicking on the individual point. Each observation (point) contains several pieces of information to include the date of the event, event type, actors involved, fatalities, and a brief note describing the event.
