Advanced TB–HIV Surveillance Dashboard
The Advanced TB–HIV Surveillance Dashboard provides a comprehensive national overview of TB–HIV coinfection trends across the United States from 2010 to 2024, integrating descriptive surveillance analytics with hierarchical Bayesian modeling. Using publicly available aggregated data from the CDC, the dashboard characterizes temporal patterns in TB cases, HIV testing coverage, and HIV positivity among TB patients across all states. The Bayesian framework enables partial pooling across years, improving stability of estimates in periods with sparse data and allowing probabilistic inference on trends and disparities. Results consistently highlight TB–HIV coinfection as a persistent and clinically significant comorbidity among people living with HIV, with distinct risk patterns over time. By combining interactive visualization with advanced statistical modeling, the dashboard supports evidence-based surveillance, uncertainty-aware decision making, and strategic public health planning at both national and subnational levels.
