The paths are all colored by their starting category (FRL Pattern). The width of the bars and paths represent the number of students in that category or path.
The total number of students in these charts is 3,539. When you hover over a bar (e.g., Never FRL under FRL Pattern or Graduated HS under HS Grad, or a particular path) you will see a few numbers:
Count: This is the number of total students (if you hover over a bar) or the number of students in that path.
P (when you hover over a path): The proportion of students in that path.
The proportions listed in the tooltip when you hover over a bar (e.g., the screenshot below which), presents three proportions (as they appear from top to bottom in the tooltip):
The proportion of students in that combination of FRL pattern and the other category out of all students. For example, in the screenshot below, the P(color ∩ Earned Credential) shows that 11.4% of all students were Never FRL and earned a PS Credential.
The proportion of students in the right category who were in the left category. For example, in the screenshot below, the P(Earned Credential | color) shows that, of those who were Never FRL, 59.9% obtained a PS Credential.
The proportion of students in that category who moved to each category in the next stage. For example, in the screenshot below, the P(color | Earned Credential) shows that, of those who earned a PS credential, 33.5% were Never FRL).
