Welp, it’s that time of year - time to sit down with the teachers and get your report card. Unlike Mr Faust, you won’t be getting a codename to hide behind your grade here. Mrs Campell will be announcing them over the loudspeaker alongside demerits.

How does the grading work? I went back to 2016 and pulled every matchup, trade, & transaction that you have made and will be grading you according to your performance across all years. The statistics are regular season only and the ranking will be based solely off your team this year.

Please keep in mind that these fantasy football grades are representative of you as people - better grade = better person (/s) so please take these grades personally. Work on yourself. Improve. Never forget the MTIXE mindset.

Before I jump into the grades, there is one metric I will quickly explain - it is the expected wins. You can see a sample week below showing the calculation in action:

Expected Wins are the probability of you winning a given week based off your (all-play) record against all opponents. This Expected Win can be compared to Actual Wins to calculate your Actual - Expected Wins (i.e. your schedule luck).

Why use expected wins & not points? Points is good, but expected wins is better at differentiating b/w two teams with similar points for. It also allows you to identify which teams have had schedule luck and the extent of that luck by comparing it to your actual wins.

Kapeesh?

Then without further ado, pull up a seat in Mr Rosenbaum’s office and let’s go over your grades.
