Netflix Adjusted Close

1120.07

AMC Adjusted Close

The trend in the two plots appear similar but the y-axis axis scale differs.

This plot is an alternative to the High-Low Candlestick plot which can also be created as a highchart.

This page presents a comparative analysis of Netflix (NFLX) and AMC stock trends from 2013 through 2022. The Dygraphs below visualize the daily Adjusted Close (Adj.), High (HL), and Low (Lo.) prices for each company.

A key feature of this analysis is the highlighted gray region, which marks the core period of the COVID-19 pandemic. This annotation specifically notes the dates when most theaters were closed and when they began to re-open, illustrating the event’s distinct impact on these two entertainment-based stocks.

This plot does not include genre information (shown on Page 2).

Further analyses would benefit from having data that differentiates between Netflix original content and Netflix content purchased from other sources.

This pie chart series is similar to the area plot in terms of the information it provides but this option isolate film age based on the year the data comes from.

The plots below illustrate Netflix’s financial performance from 2013 to 2021. The visualizations break down the company’s Total Revenue into its core components: Expenditures and Net Income. This comparison highlights the significant growth in top-line revenue alongside the substantial, and growing, expenditures required to fuel that expansion, primarily in content and technology.
