Based on the Monte Carlo simulation results, how much should you expect from your $100 investment after 20 years? What is the best-case scenario? What is the worst-case scenario? What are limitations of this simulation analysis?
Based on the Monte Carlo simulation results, I should expect from my $100 investment around 14,000 after 20 years (as seen with the red line representing the median). In the best-case scenario, I could expect around 50,000. In the worst-case scenario, I should expect around 1,000. This simulation analysis is limited by its use of historical data. Indeed, it assumes the futures will be similar to the past, however history doesn’t always repeat itself. It also doesn’t account for structural breaks such as major economic shocks or policy changes.
