1 PENDAHULUAN

1.1 Latar Belakang

Pembangunan sosial dan ekonomi suatu negara merupakan dua aspek yang saling memengaruhi. Indikator ekonomi seperti GDP per capita, ekspor, dan impor mencerminkan kapasitas dan aktivitas ekonomi, sedangkan indikator sosial seperti life expectancy, child mortality, dan health expenditure menunjukkan tingkat kesehatan serta kesejahteraan penduduk. Memahami keterkaitan keduanya penting karena kondisi ekonomi dapat berdampak langsung pada kualitas hidup masyarakat, dan sebaliknya kualitas sosial-kesehatan juga dapat memengaruhi kinerja ekonomi.

Hubungan antara kedua kelompok indikator bersifat kompleks dan tidak dapat dijelaskan hanya dengan satu variabel. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan metode analisis yang mampu mengukur hubungan dua kelompok variabel secara simultan. Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA) merupakan teknik multivariat yang tepat untuk tujuan tersebut karena mampu mengidentifikasi kombinasi linier dari masing-masing kelompok variabel dan mengukur seberapa kuat keterkaitannya.

Penelitian ini menggunakan CCA untuk menganalisis hubungan antara indikator ekonomi (GDP per capita, ekspor, impor) dan indikator sosial/kesejahteraan (life expectancy, child mortality, health expenditure). Melalui analisis ini diharapkan diperoleh gambaran yang lebih komprehensif mengenai keterhubungan antara kondisi ekonomi dan kesejahteraan suatu negara.

1.2 Rumusan Masalah

  1. Bagaimana hubungan antara kelompok variabel ekonomi (GDP per capita, ekspor, impor) dengan kelompok variabel sosial/kesejahteraan (life expectancy, child mortality, health expenditure)?

  2. Seberapa besar korelasi kanonik yang terbentuk antara kedua kelompok variabel tersebut?

  3. Variabel mana saja dalam masing-masing kelompok yang memberikan kontribusi paling besar terhadap fungsi kanonik yang terbentuk?

1.3 Tujuan

  1. Menganalisis hubungan antara indikator ekonomi dan indikator sosial/kesejahteraan menggunakan Canonical Correlation Analysis.

  2. Mengukur besarnya korelasi kanonik antara kelompok variabel ekonomi dan kelompok variabel sosial.

  3. Mengidentifikasi variabel yang paling berpengaruh dalam pembentukan fungsi kanonik pada masing-masing kelompok.

Data ini diambil dari kaggle yang berisi tentang data sosial ekonomi di 166 negara di dunia, berikut cuplikan datanya:

Berdasarkan output di atas dapat diperoleh informasi bahwa hasil Analisis Korelasi Kanonikal (CCA) menunjukkan adanya tiga dimensi hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik antara set variabel ekonomi (exports, imports, gdpp) dan set variabel sosial (life_expec, child_mort, health) sebagaimana dikonfirmasi oleh Uji Bartlett sebelumnya. Hubungan yang paling dominan dan kuat terdapat pada Pasangan Korelasi Kanonikal Pertama. Variat kanonikal pertama pada set ekonomi (Variat X1) didominasi secara kuat oleh PDB (gdpp, -0.948) yang menunjukkan tingkat PDB yang tinggi. Variat ini berkorelasi kuat dengan Variat kanonikal pertama pada set sosial (Variat Y1), yang didominasi oleh Harapan Hidup (life_expec, -0.526) dan Kesehatan (health, -0.487) serta Kematian Anak (child_mort, 0.418). Secara substansi, hal ini menyimpulkan bahwa negara-negara dengan PDB yang lebih tinggi cenderung memiliki tingkat kesehatan dan harapan hidup yang lebih baik. Dimensi hubungan sekunder dan tersier, yaitu Pasangan Kedua dan Ketiga, juga signifikan, di mana Ekspor (exports) menjadi faktor utama pada Pasangan Kedua yang memengaruhi Harapan Hidup, dan Impor (imports) menjadi faktor utama pada Pasangan Ketiga yang berhubungan dengan Angka Kematian Anak. Meskipun ketiga pasangan signifikan, Pasangan Pertama memberikan kontribusi terbesar terhadap hubungan keseluruhan antar kedua set variabel.

Berdasarkan output diatas dapat diperoleh beberapa informasi yaitu:

  1. Keragaman himpunan variabel X dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel π‘ˆ1 sebesar 13,84%, variabel U2 sebesar 4,63%, variabel U3 sebesar 1,82% dan dijelaskan bersama oleh π‘ˆ1, π‘ˆ2, dan π‘ˆ3 sebesar 20,30%.

  2. Keragaman himpunan variabel X dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel π‘Œ1 sebesar 22,95%, variabel Y2 sebesar 10,31%, variabel Y3 0,51% dan dijelaskan bersama oleh π‘Œ1, π‘Œ2, dan π‘Œ3 sebesar 33,78%.

4 KESIMPULAN

Berdasarkan analisis diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa:

Adanya tiga dimensi hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik antara set variabel ekonomi (exports, imports, gdpp) dan set variabel sosial (life_expec, child_mort, health) sebagaimana dikonfirmasi oleh Uji Bartlett sebelumnya.Β 

Hubungan yang paling dominan dan kuat terdapat pada Pasangan Korelasi Kanonikal Pertama. Variat kanonikal pertama pada set ekonomi (Variat X1) didominasi secara kuat oleh PDB (gdpp, -0.948) yang menunjukkan tingkat PDB yang tinggi. Variat ini berkorelasi kuat dengan Variat kanonikal pertama pada set sosial (Variat Y1), yang didominasi oleh Harapan Hidup (life_expec, -0.526) dan Kesehatan (health, -0.487) serta Kematian Anak (child_mort, 0.418).Β 

Secara substansi, hal ini menyimpulkan bahwa negara-negara dengan PDB yang lebih tinggi cenderung memiliki tingkat kesehatan dan harapan hidup yang lebih baik. Dimensi hubungan sekunder dan tersier, yaitu Pasangan Kedua dan Ketiga, juga signifikan, di mana Ekspor (exports) menjadi faktor utama pada Pasangan Kedua yang memengaruhi Harapan Hidup, dan Impor (imports) menjadi faktor utama pada Pasangan Ketiga yang berhubungan dengan Angka Kematian Anak. Meskipun ketiga pasangan signifikan, Pasangan Pertama memberikan kontribusi terbesar terhadap hubungan keseluruhan antar kedua set variabel.
