Single election party are those which took part in only one election. Double election party are those which took part in only two election cycles. No National party is included in Single and Double election category. For any party taking part in three or more election cycles we have sub divided into 3 categories. Micro party are those which took part upto 10% of the seats in any given assembly. Minor parties are those which contested in in seats between 10%-50% of any assembly. Major parties are those which took part in more than 50% of the seats of any assembly.
