1. Introduccion

este cuaderno de R ilustra como descargar datos de propiedades de suelos a cualquier profundidad desdes la plataforma “SoilGrids”.

Dichos datos estan en estructura Raster con resolucion espacial de 250m.

Agregar texto: que indique la ventaja de descargar esos datos usando R en lugar de usar un navegador web para esa labor.

Agregar texto: que describa las diferentes opciones para descargar datos, donde se explicaron en introduccion del notebook de referencia

2.1 ¿Que es SoilGrids?

SoilGrids es un sistema global de información de suelos desarrollado por ISRIC que proporciona mapas digitales de alta resolución (250m) de las propiedades del suelo en todo el mundo. Utilizando algoritmos de machine learning y más de 240,000 perfiles de suelo de referencia, combina datos satelitales, modelos de elevación e información climática para predecir y mapear variables clave como textura (arcilla, limo, arena), pH, carbono orgánico y nutrientes a diferentes profundidades (desde 0-5cm hasta 100-200cm). Esta plataforma de acceso libre es fundamental para aplicaciones en agricultura de precisión, modelado ambiental, investigación científica y planificación territorial, sirviendo como una herramienta esencial para comprender y gestionar los recursos edáficos a escala global.

Este código construye URLs para acceder a datos de carbono orgánico del suelo desde SoilGrids, una plataforma global de información de suelos.

Estás configurando la conexión para obtener datos de carbono orgánico del suelo a nivel global para la profundidad de 15-30 cm.

3. Descargar variables de interes para un departamento especifico.
