| After being named a Top 50 Global Teacher, my students began to see learning — and themselves — differently. Many of them come from low-income homes, and for years they struggled with self-belief and motivation. But the award gave them a sense of pride and possibility; they saw that their teacher from a public school could be recognized globally, and it made them realize that greatness can come from anywhere. | My community children were invited to the University of Limpopo to attend a summit organized by Dr Erica Filmon from the University of Georgia and the University of Johannesburg in 2023. They presented their technology project using AR and AI. I also presented what im doing both online and at my community. Some of my community that past my hands are now at university level pursuing their studies and they do well.
