important?

1.Why clean energy matter?
- 75% of global Carbon dioxide CO2 emissions come from the burning of
fossil fuels for energy.
- Co2 work like greenhouse plastic cover, absorbs heat in the for m of
infrared radiation.
- Rising of atmospheric CO2 concentrations strongly linked to global
warming.
- Global warming will lead to risks such as rising sea level and
frequent extreme weather.
- The CO2 emission of clean energy is almost zero.
2. Climate change plot
- global mean temperature keep increasing since 1989, and the rate of
increase still accelerating.

3.Global primary energy consumption by source
- Global energy consumption continues to grow over time but a slightly
dropped at around 2020
- Possibly due to the large number of factory closures during the
Covid-19 pandemic.
- The consumption of clean energy such as nuclear, solar, wind are
increasing over time

4.The proportion of Clean energy
- Clean energy includes: Solar, Hydropower, Traditional Biomass,
Biofules, Wind, Nuclear and Other renewable.
- Traditional energy includes: Oil, Coal, Gas.
- As shown in the histogram, the share of clean energy is increasing
over time. - From 18.96% in 1974 increased to 23.59% in 2024.

5.Which clean energy sources are mainstream?
- six types clean energy source will be discussed.
- Traditional biomass is excluded because the values after 2015 are
predicted value and the share of traditional biomass is very low.

- The consumption of all clean energies has increasing trend except
nuclear power.

6.Conclusion
- The share of clean energy in total electricity generation has been
increasing slightly every year since 1974 and it reached 23.59 in
2024
- Nuclear power generation peaked in the early 20th century, then
began to decline ar around 2006 and then being stabilized.
- Wind energy and solar energy increased rapidly since 2000 and 2010
respectively.
- Humans are increasingly shifting from fossil fuels to clean energy
to reduce CO2 emissions.
