For the purposes of understanding:
Robbery (A50): taking property from a person using force or threat (weapons may be involved, but aren’t required). Burglary (B30): unlawful entry to a building/structure (residential or non-residential) to commit an offence. Theft (B40): taking property without force or unlawful entry (e.g., shoplifting, theft from motor vehicle, theft of bicycle).
In this visualisation only Robbery is considered as a part of
property crimes though it is classified as a crimes against the person
to help public understanding. Theft dominates property crimes throughout
2016–2025, with totals dropping during COVID years and rebounding
strongly in 2024–2025.
