The 2025 Australian Federal Election has marked a crucial turning point in today modern Australian Politics. My Analysis and findings of this data can be found here, I aim to uncover some hidden shifts in the voting patterns of all Australians alike. Using the data given and openly available from the Australian Electoral Commission I will attempt to explore and give My audience the following:
The silent rise of independent parties and minor parties.
Where does the immense rise of Labours dominance comes from.
● Labour party has achieved the majority of the votes, which is clear to see in this graph ● A few minor parties have influenced the votes like The greens, Center Alliance, KAP, and Too Close to attribute. ● Showing party deterioration in the dominant parties
Western Australia and South Australia gave a chance to the minority parties showcasing a different trend among the data.
Queensland mostly has stayed with the Liberal and National party as displayed by these results, but The Labour party was indeed a major choice and won seats
The main highlight of this graph is NSW and VIC giving a massive boost to the Labour party. Most voters favored the Labour polices, helping them gain a edge.
Seats that changed hands that were form one party to another, were mostly from the regions where they have ever changing voting patterns
From the graph we can see the stark changes in these seats as a majority of them were from ” Decided on preferences.”
