The above graph highlights that INCREASE IN POPULATION cannot explain the increase in verbal and physical abuse in both SOUTHERN and WESTERN LGA’s. This suggests that the NORTH WEST METRO and the SOUTHERN METRO areas are more safe - hence leading to increased population in those areas, despite the DECREASES in abuse.

The MENTAL HEALTH ACT 2022 can attribute to the spike in emotional abuse cases in the second half of the second scatterplot. The act brought more AWARENESS to the importance of emotions, encouraging more people to RECOGNISE and REPORT when their emotions are hurt, damaged and abused.
