The West Virginia STEM Alliance is more than a program—it's a movement to expose students to STEM, unlock their curiosity, and engage the next generation of STEM leaders statewide. Our vision is to expand access to STEM opportunities and ensure that every student, regardless of their background or institution size, has access to the research opportunities, professional networks, and peer mentoring that will shape their STEM career.

Join STEM Alliance

Join a statewide movement of students, faculty, and STEM professionals committed to expanding research and mentorship, and help bring hands‑on opportunities to communities that need them most.

Nominate a Student

Give a deserving student a chance to be inspired— nominate someone to attend Undergraduate Research Day followed by our first STEM Alliance meeting for a day of discovery, connection, and next‑step resources.

Apply for Travel Support

Limited funds? Submit a one-page personal statement describing how you see STEM as a way to grow both the West Virginia economy and education. Priority given to students who have never presented research, are first-generation, or come from rural backgrounds.
