(Note: This date was inserted using R code and the Sys.Date() command.)

This presentation is used to satisfy the final-project requirements of Developing Data Products, a Coursera course!

Things to note:

  • I used the boilerplate dataset (faithful) included in R.
  • I used the code generated when a new Shiny app is created.
  • I updated that code to add a button to select between hours and minutes on the X-axis.
  • This amazing app will make you want to visit Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming as soon as you run it.

Picture of Old Faithful (and Disclaimer)

  • Be careful when you are at the geyser.
  • These people might be too close, even though the NPS says otherwise.
  • Wherever you are at, remember that Yellowstone is a supervolcano with a blast radius of perhaps 60 miles.
