Hi everyone, you can refer to me as Sebastian or some people call me
Seabass. My major is Business Analytics. This year
as a senior at UTSA and committed to graduating next year
with the hope of securing my career in the finance industry.
Currently, on attaining my bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics
and in the next few years get my Master’s at the
University of Texas.
Unfortunately, do not have any experience related to my major but
working on it throughout this year to land an internship position next
year. Do have experience in the service industry while working at
Jimmy Johns was short and been active with
Door Dash for a couple of years.
My position at JJ was cashier/delivery driver which consisted of daily interaction with customers but performed other objectives to continue workflow.
Jimmy John’s
Communicated with customers to establish strong relations and maximize store profits.
Operated cash register to perform proper transactions.
Worked on assembly line and properly complete orders for customers.
Maintained store lobby by cleaning floors, tables, and chairs during slow business hours.
As for Door Dash, it is a different experience because throughout one day my involvement is collecting orders from restaurants and delivering them to the customer’s doorstep. Which is simple but convenient.
Last year in the fall semester one of my classes was
Data Management for Business Analytics (MS 3083) and was
introduced to R code. Understood the basics but still not proficient
with R code to create large codes by myself. So, taking
Data Mining for Business Analytics (MS 4373) this year
would ensure the concepts, functions, and scenarios will prepare for
future endeavors.
