Hello

Hi, I’m Nicole. I’m from the Lower Valley in Texas and I moved to San Antonio for college. I’m majoring in Business Analytics and I graduate this upcoming Spring. I have some experience with RStudio from classes I took last year, and I like learning more as I go—especially when I can turn messy data into a simple, clear story.

Quick facts

  • Based in San Antonio, TX (originally from the Lower Valley)
  • Major: Business Analytics
  • Graduation: this upcoming Spring
  • Tools I use: R, RStudio, tidyverse/ggplot2, Excel, Tableau
  • Current goal: write cleaner R scripts and knit reproducible reports

Academic background

Most of my classes focus on analytics, statistics, and business decisions. I like projects where I explore a dataset, clean it up, and explain what the numbers mean for real choices—like customer behavior or operations.

Professional / project experience

I’ve built class projects and small dashboards that summarize trends, compare groups, and highlight clear takeaways. I keep things organized so another student (or a future me) can understand it fast.

Experience with R and data mining

  • R/RStudio: loading data, cleaning with dplyr, quick charts with ggplot2, and knitting to HTML
  • Data mining: basics of classification/clustering and the idea of training vs. testing; focusing on clean pipelines and good visuals first

Other analytic software

  • Excel: pivot tables, quick charts, conditional formatting
  • Tableau: simple dashboards and filters
  • Python/SPSS: basic familiarity
