Hi! My name is Nicole Vazquez. I’m 23 years old and currently in my fifth year at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), pursuing a degree in Business Analytics. I moved from Fort Worth to San Antonio three years ago with my dad, and we’ve been enjoying life here ever since.
I’ve grown tremendously since high school and take great pride in how far I’ve come academically and personally. I truly enjoy being in school and embracing everything that comes with it—it’s a unique and special chapter in my life that I’m not rushing to end.
When I’m not studying or working, you’ll likely find me at the gym, spending time with friends or family, or working on my latest puzzle. I have a strong love for travel—I’ve visited five states so far and travel to Mexico often. Lately, I’ve also been getting into the rave scene, and I’m especially excited for a big Halloween rave coming up in October!
I’ve taken a deliberate path through my college journey, choosing to focus on fully understanding my coursework rather than rushing through it. My goal is to use my Business Analytics background to enter the healthcare industry, combining data with meaningful impact.
I’ve worked extensively with SAS and R, and I’m also familiar with SPSS. While R isn’t my favorite, I’ve used it for data exploration, visualization, and manipulation. SAS, however, is where I feel most comfortable—I’ve taken three classes using it and developed skills in random sampling, linear regression, data filtering, and result interpretation.
Although I don’t have much hands-on experience with data mining yet, I’m eager to dive deeper and expand my skills through real-world projects.
