Hello, my name is Madisson Beckworth. I am currently a business analytics student at the University of Texas at San Antonio! Not only am I student, I am also a licensed Cosmetologist that has been doing hair the past five years while attending school!

Throughout the years I have had various jobs, but my most lengthy and current one would be my hair business. After graduating high school, I entered into cosmetology school so that I could have a self sustaining career while attending college. I apprenticed at a salon called “The Fixx” and another one called “Southern Roots”. My mentor at Southern Roots helped me build a clientele before we went on to open our own salon, Bloom Beauty. Opening a brand new business had it’s challenges, but three years later, we have surpassed our goals and have a very fulfilling clientele!

  • Before doing hair, I worked in retail and hospitality, along with interning for Lululemon with their marketing department. I am hoping to gain an analytics internship for this upcoming summer with an insurance company!

Experience with R and Data Mining đź“Š

I have used R for the past two years mainly for cleaning and practice purposes, but not data mining just yet. I primarily have skills on SAS programming language and Tableau but look to expand my R skills and proficiency by graduation!
