Valentina Wu Introduction

Hello! My name is Valentina Wu, I’m a senior at UTSA, and also a Management Science and Statistics tutor at UTSA. I grew up in Taiwan and moved to Texas four years ago to pursue my studies. I’m the President of the Taiwanese Student Association and the Vice President of Chapter Operation of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity.

Professional Background

In 2023, I joined the Business Tutoring and Learning Services Center at the University of Texas at San Antonio as a receptionist, handling scheduling, student consultations, and feedback analysis to optimize operational workflows. In 2024, I was promoted to tutor in Management Science & Statistics and Economics, delivering one-on-one instruction using R, SAS, and Excel software to simplify complex concepts while strengthening students’ data analysis skills.

Also, through my internships, I gained hands-on experience in accounting and finance. At Baker Tilly Clock & Co. in Taiwan, I managed financial records, invoices, and tax processing, while at American First National Bank in Houston, I supported credit evaluations, loan documentation, and developed an Excel tool to streamline cost calculations.
