Brief Synopsis

Hello, I’m Devin Walker. I am from Cincinnati and now live in the Greater Cincinnati area. I love reading, watching action movies and taking naps. A fun fact about me is that I have the absolute value equation tattooed on the back of my left shoulder.

Academic & Professional Background

I am a relatively recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati. I graduate in Spring of 2024 with my Bachelors in Secondary Education- Mathematics. I briefly utilized the degree to teach high school math. I taught Algebra II, Probability & Statistics, and Financial Literacy. I was also the assistant coach for the Academic Quiz Team. I quickly realized that the effort of teaching and all that goes into it wasn’t for me. However, teaching Probability and Statistics really sparked a love for analyzing data. I decided to change career paths. Now I am in the MS BANA Program.

Analytics Software Experience

I have very little analytic software experience. I used Microsoft Excel on a regular basis while teaching. My freshman year of college I was in an engineering program an tOSU and used MATLAB for a semester. It was not a pleasant experience, or a toll I liked using. I have no prior experience with R/RStudio, but so far I am enjoying it. I can’t wait to learn more.
