Introduction to Me!

Hello there! Through the MSIS program, I am developing deep technical knowledge and skills needed for specialized roles that integrate business strategy with complex digital transformation efforts to manage intricate technological programs. This course will equip me with the ability to execute the data wrangling process and provide me with a foundation of working with data in R. I grew up in Union, Kentucky and have also lived in Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky. I have lived in Washington State since 2019.

Before beginning BANA 7025: Data Wrangling, I did not have any experience in R. In the last 2 weeks of the course, I have learned the following 1:

  • Creating and manipulating vectors
  • Review of Popular R packages
  • Using RStudio Project to organize data wrangling projects
  • Creating and modifying R scripts, R Markdown, and R Notebook documents to make projects and outputs reproducible.

  • Importing data from a variety of sources

I have limited experience with other analytic software, but am eager to learn and develop the skills necessary to add value to any domain.
