Hi, I’m Julie. I am originally from Georgia, and I came to Cincinnati in 2018 to attended Xavier University, and I have stayed in Cincinnati ever since graduating in 2022. I live in OTR with my boyfriend & our recently adopted dog Amos! I enjoy crocheting, watching reality TV, and hanging out with friends in my free time. My boyfriend and I love to spend weekends trying new resturants and discovering new spots in the city.
I began my career at a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) Broker during my senior year of undergrad. I worked on the Kroger Team there assisting all clients/brands that we represented in the retailer with their marketing strategy and execution. In this role, i realized I wanted to do something more analytical, and took a job as a Senior Marketing Specialist for a manufacturing company in which I set pricing for 500+ items and managed the marketing strategy for multi-million brands. In this role, it became apparent to me that I preffered the consumer side of the industry. Marketing to consumers rather than other businesses is much more interesting, in my opinion, because there are many more variables that go into a consumer’s decision making. Now, I am a Category Insights Analyst on the Kroger Team at a broker. Essentially, I manage all analytics for 10+ clients/brands in Kroger, and use data to assist the client in putting a story together that will hopefully convince Kroger to give the brand more shelf space and/or better placement in the store.
I used R in one of my econ classes during undergrad for regression analysis, but that is the extent of my experience in R as I used Stata to complete my econ capstone.
