My professional experience has been in the world of merchandising, particularly in e-commerce. Understanding customer behavior and marketplace trends has been a driver in my goal to become more efficient working with data. That is what has brought me to enrolling in this course! I’m originally from right here in Cincinnati, Ohio, but have also lived in Columbus, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois.

After graduating from Ohio State, I joined the digital merchandising team at Walgreens. There, I worked across a variety of product categories, but ultimately with the goal of driving digital sales and improving the customer journey. Some key elements of my work included:

Experience with R and Other Analytic Software

I have had no exposure to R in the past. This course is my first foray into the world of R and I look forward to learning more.

My experience with Excel is the most robust, as I used it in my most recent role, often dealing with comma- and pipe-delimited files. I also was exposed to running SQL queries, but often was not writing the queries myself, unfortunately. I’m excited to tie my analytic experiences into my new skills working in R.
