Under- and Unemployment Rates in Australia
A3: Storytelling with Open Data (Laura Bradshaw - 4160389)
Overview
This dashboard provides information about under- and unemployment in
Australia. The data is provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics
(2025) who provide quarterly reports on the number of people in
Australia who are not working, or working less than they prefer.
Users can explore how under- and unemployment rates in Australia have
changed over time (spoiler alert: they have almost halved since 2014!),
and learn about the most common barriers for Australian men and women
who wish to work, or work more hours. Hover your mouse over the charts
to investigate how the different barriers affect men and women
differently.
