This code explores conflict data from the Cambodia - Thailand conflict from 23-28 July 2025. The data was retrieved on 11 August 2025 from the Armed Conflict Location Event Database (ACLED).
This is an interactive map that shows 33 conflict events from 23-28 July when hostilities escalated between Cambodia and Thailand after a five Thai Soldiers were wounded after one stepped on a landmine in Song Nam Yuen. One Soldier was seriously wounded requiring the amputation of his right foot. That event triggered a series of other events between the two countries. This includes eight (8) battles, nineteen (19) explosions/remote violence, one (1) protest, three (3) strategic developments, and two (2) violence against civilians. The map includes descriptions of the event along with the actors involved, fatalities, and dates. The temporal trend of conflict through this period is shown in the figure below.
