Now, the big data analyses will come this fall/winter, so this is just a percent difference driven by the 701x dashboard data, but I’ve been trying to capture (digitally) what we see on the ground. And this year, I think we captured it!

When we move yearling steers they go a little wild for the next week, finding holes or making them… We speculate that the new comers wander around checking out the new home and the prior residents, well, they wander around trying to figure out who the new arrival is.

I didn’t need a sensor to tell me this, but I think it looks like the sensor is picking up the behavior!

2025-07-29 July 26 image; shift 109 steers from Center Creek to Prairie Ridge; shift 89 steers from Owl Creek to Salt Tree; shift 22 steers (and 2, 701x tags) from High Hawk to Slayton. Moved on 7/31
2025-08-05 July 26 image; still no update from NASA. Crew conducted a boots-on-the-ground survey and team decided to stay one more week.
