1 :Introduction

The Kenya team, composed of members from both the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) and Program departments, is currently undertaking a comprehensive soil sampling exercise targeting 100 farmers across Kisumu, Homa Bay, and Migori Regions This effort is part of a wider strategy to generate reliable soil data that will inform program design, improve farm productivity, and promote sustainable land management practices.

The exercise involves taking soil sampling in both crop and tree areas on each farm garden, ensuring consistency and scientific rigor in Soil data collection. The following sections below outline the distribution of Soil sampling targets across the three counties and their respective Project Units. By ensuring equitable farmer representation from each region, the teams aims to enhance the accuracy, credibility, and overall impact of the soil analysis and its subsequent application in programming.
