Introduction

This document demonstrates a method for obtaining a geospatial polygon or other features from the NSW SEED (Sharing and Enabling Environmental Data) Map.

Steps

  1. Go to the SEED Map

  2. Click the Add layers from catalogue button in the left panel

  1. Search for the required layer and select the relevant features. In this example, property boundaries for urban areas have been selected.

  1. Use the search box at the top of the map or zoom to the required location.

  1. Click the required polygon or feature to select it.

Hint Multiple features can be selected by using the Identify by rectangle tool from the Tools button at the right.

Click the three vertical buttons menu on the popup and select Export to Shapefile. Save or move the downloaded zip file to your project directory.
