With a strong foundation in machine learning, data analytics, and AI deployment, coupled with practical experience delivering projects in public health (KEMRI), digital finance (Pezesha), and legal technology (Judiciary of Kenya), I am confident in my ability to add value to your dynamic, AI-driven team.
My professional journey has exposed me to the full data science lifecycle from data engineering and model development to deployment and stakeholder communication. At KEMRI, I contributed to public health research by developing predictive models on disease prevalence and leveraging geospatial analytics to inform intervention planning. While at Pezesha, I worked on credit risk modeling, customer segmentation, and automation of lending decisions using machine learning optimizing underwriting for underserved populations. At the Kenyan Judiciary, I focused on AI for legal document classification, caseload forecasting, and evaluating operational efficiency using data analytics ; a project I expanded into my Master’s thesis titled “AI Methods to Improve Efficiency in the Judiciary.”
These roles have allowed me to work with tools and platforms such as Python, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, SQL, AWS, MLflow, and vector databases like FAISS and Pinecone, as well as LLM orchestration tools such as LangChain. I’ve also developed MLOps pipelines to ensure reproducibility and compliance especially in regulated domains.
