Create your Own Dashboard
How to Use the Interactive Dashboard
This dashboard allows you to explore data using drag-and-drop functionality—no coding required. Follow the steps below to create your own visualisations from the dataset.
- Get to Know the Layout
- Fields Panel (Left side): This shows all the data columns available (e.g., Gender, Department, Score).
- Chart Area (Centre): This is where your visualisation appears.
- Drop Zones (Top): These include:
- Rows / Columns: Set which variables define the chart axes.
- Color / Size / Shape: Add detail or grouping to your chart.
- Filters: Narrow down the data based on selected criteria.
- Create Your Own Chart Drag a variable (e.g., Cats) to x-Axis.
Drag another variable (e.g., Clicks) to y-Axis.
A chart will automatically be generated (e.g., bar chart or scatter plot).
You can change the chart type using the Chart Type menu (above the visualisation).
- Explore and Experiment
Apply Filters: Drag variables into the Filters area (e.g., select a date-range).
Change Aggregation: Click the dropdown next to a variable to choose how it’s summarised (e.g., average, count, sum).
Add Color or Grouping: Drag a variable like Gender to the Color or Shape area to split results visually.
- Try Different Views
Switch between chart types: bar, line, pie, scatter, etc.
Combine different variables to compare trends, group differences, or distributions.
- Save or Capture Insights
The dashboard does not have a “Save” button, but you can:
Take screenshots of your charts.
Use your findings to guide formal reports or presentations.
