Introduction

About the Data
The average daily caloric intake per person by food group is shown in this dataset for all nations and years (1961–2020). The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) put it together, and Our World in Data released it. Ten dietary categories, including meat, sugar, fats, and grains, are included in the dataset for more than 170 nations.

Visualization Overview
This dashboard uses FAO data to examine long-term dietary changes in Australia and around the world. The following charts show the average daily caloric intake by food group from 1961 to 2020:
