Purpose

This SOP outlines the inbound shipping process for goods delivered from overseas into the United States using two primary logistics partners: EW and AWOT. It covers cargo pickup, transportation, customs clearance, and final delivery to the WP warehouse.


Scope

This procedure applies to all inbound shipments arranged through EW and AWOT via ocean and air freight.


Part I – Inbound Process: EW (Ocean Freight from China, Malaysia, Indonesia)

Process Steps

  1. Pickup & Export: Sandy arranges pickup in China and delivers goods to port for ocean freight.
  2. Customs Clearance: Upon arrival in the US, David files required documents and completes clearance.
  3. Final Delivery: Ling schedules truck appointment from port to WP warehouse.
  4. Internal Ops: Confirm inbound in the system and validate documents.

Note: In rare cases, shipments may be routed to a bonded warehouse (FTZ). See FTZ Inbound & Outbound SOP for details.


Part II – Inbound Process: AWOT (Ocean & Air Freight)
